Safeguarding Children Board - Business

Dudley Safeguarding Children Board is a statutory body that  is made up of representatives from organisations that have responsibility to provide services to children and young people in Dudley

Members of the board include representatives from  West Midlands Police, Health Organisations, Dudley Council, Voluntary Sector Organisations, and Education; all of which have a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people in Dudley.

The essence of the board is to develop a shared sense of responsibility across all agencies working with children, their families and communities to keep children from harm and to hold each other to account and to ensure safeguarding children remains high on the agenda across Dudley.

The board operates under the structure below to ensure that it is effective and committed to safeguarding children and young people in Dudley.

Dudley Safeguarding Children Board is made up of representatives from a whole range of organisations located across Dudley Borough. These organisations all provide services to children or young people, or have regular contact with them.

Members of the board represent their organisations which have a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people in Dudley Borough.

The board aims to build upon the strong foundations laid down by Dudley Area Child Protection Committee. The board is a key statutory body which agrees how organisations will work together to signpost and promote the welfare of children and young people across Dudley Borough.

 

DSCB Business Support Unit

 

Each year the safeguarding children board works to produce an annual business plan. This lays down the board’s strategy and action plan for the year ahead. In addition an annual report is also produced which examines the board’s work which has taken place over the previous year, and this incorporates the business plan for the year ahead.
