Domestic Abuse & Case Review training

Target Audience:

Domestic abuse is an issue that affects 1 in 4 women and 1 in 8 men. Deaths from domestic abuse are reviewed using the Domestic Homicide Review Process and domestic abuse has been highlighted in a number of Serious Case Reviews.

These 3 hour sessions are aimed at any practitioner who has contact with families


These practical sessions aim to improve multi-agency recognition, practice and service delivery in relation to domestic abuse.


This training will cover:

  • Signs of domestic abuse

  • Impact on victims and children

  • DASH and thresholds

  • Introduction to DART process and referrals, Operation

  • Encompass and MARAC

  • What to do if you suspect domestic abuse

  • Referrals to Police/CSC

  • Links to SCR/DHR
