Safer Recruitment

PLEASE NOTE: Safeguarding Intermediate training and your own agency's Recruitment and Selection training must be completed and up to date before applying for a place on this training course.

Working Together, 2010 - Chapter 2

This course, based on the Children's Workforce Development Council's "Safer Recruitment" materials is now available to all managers and HR representatives across member agencies of Dudley Safeguarding Children Board.

The one day course, separated into 4 modules, looks at how safer recruitment fits within the wider context of safeguarding, focusing on good recruitment and selection practices and set out procedures and strategies to help managers deter, identify and reject applications who are unsuitable to work with children.

The course will be delivered by two local trainers, accredited nationally by NCSL.  An assessment process will be administered and a certificate awarded.
