DSPP Need You!

The Dudley Safeguarding People Partnership are looking for an Independent Scrutineer to support the work of the three statutory partners of the DSPP.

The Independent Scrutineer will play a pivotal role in supporting Dudley’s multi-agency safeguarding arrangements in response to legislative changes as set out in the Child and Social Work Act 2017 and related Working Together 2018 guidance.

We are seeking a strong leader, with considerable knowledge and experience of chairing meetings, and who has a good operational and strategic understanding of safeguarding children, to take on this position and facilitate a comprehensive quality of practice and performance programme.

Dudley is seeking an individual who is passionate about improving outcomes for our children. You will need to be able to develop, support, engage and challenge the partnership members on their safeguarding activities whilst remaining independent.

We are looking for an exceptional  person to provide critical challenge of the new multi-agency safeguarding arrangement to help us drive forward safeguarding children’s developments in a way that balances our duties to safeguard children and young people and ensure that the Dudley Safeguarding People Partnership is able to identify and respond to emerging need and risks strategically, and listen to the lessons learned to inform and continue to improve safeguarding practice in Dudley.
