Gangs aren’t always bad and can be a group of friends hanging around together having fun. However some gangs can be dangerous and may try to encourage you to do things you don’t want to do.

Some gangs are involved in serious crimes such as theft, carrying and using weapons or knives, using or selling drugs, or are often violent to other innocent people. These kinds of gangs may pressure you into joining in with them and carry out these acts crime.

Always remember no-one has the right to force you to do anything, speak to a trusted adult or contact Childline if you are worried you may be hanging out with the wrong group of friends.
